what fruit, if any, would go well with chocolate lava cake and coffee ice cream?

  1. strawberries or raspberries....or even blackberries, altho the other two would be prettier :) yummy.
  2. Definitely the strawberry. I've actually had those combinations before, and they're very delicious!
  3. Rasberry or blackberry. Almost any fruit will compliment the cake, and if you have coffee and fruit for breakfast, think about what fruits taste best with your coffee. Orange would be an unexpected twist
  4. Cant go wrong with strawberrys, match made in heaven.
  5. TINNED PEACHES
  6. Lance Bass
  7. strawberries... :P yumm ^_^
  8. Hi,

you've had several complementary answers suggesting berry fruits, and they are all absolutely right, but one fruit not mentioned which is a classic accompaniment to chocolate in any form is pears. Either ripe, peeled pears or tinned pears are a wonderful accompaniment to chocolate cake (or with melted chocolate poured over)

Whichever you select...enjoy! (They're all good)

    Cheers,

  9. Sliced kiwi, sliced strawberries, random raspberries, orange segments. Depends on the occasion - is there a color theme? Banana would be too heavy, so also would peach and pear. You only want a 'dash' of fruit, for color. Chocolate lava cake and coffee ice cream is filling in itself.
  10. My first instict is raspberries. They go so well with chocolate. But since you have the coffee ice cream, I agree that a pear would be subtle...but I'm gonna throw something else out there.

How about bananas. Saute them in a little bit of butter with some brown sugar, add a splash of starbucks liquour. Scoop the bananas on top of the lava cake and then drizzle the extra sauce on top of the ice cream.
  11. Raspberries would be the selection that would go with both the cake and the ice cream. But ripe mango slices would go well with the chocolate lava cake. The mango would also go with the raspberries as well!
  12. berries, apples
