a question about molten chocolate cake/chocolate lava cake? since the middle of it isnt as cooked as the outside, isnt it unsafe becuz it mite have salmonella

Chocolate cake ENVY? my diet plan (slim fast) where two cans then dinner with desert is working and I'm having chocolate LAVA cakes everynight (just one) to help my sweet tooth out, yet still dropping 1-3lbs a week. "Hot Chocolate Cake" Recipe??? My late father had a this recipe. He had received it from a family member during the 70's and he made it occasionally. I would really like to find it. Someone must have one somewhere. It has also been called "Hot Chocolate Lava Cake". To describe it, the cake is served hot, and moist and drenched in a chocolate sauce that is very much like hot chocolate itself in taste, but very rich and smooth.

Is it possible to make a chocolate lave cake without flour? Recipe in last months family circle.? 4 eggs and 2 T of sugar are beaten and folded into 12 oz. melted choclate. These are the only ingredients. The receipe is called choclate lave cake. In the picture the appears to be a thin cake shell over the choclate lava that spills out. They are baked for 15 min. in famekins or molds and turned upside down after baking. I find it hard to believe the cake can be made without using flour. It could be that this is just a very thin shell of cakelike matter over the lave but it has me stumped. It looks wonderful and I want to make it but can't see how the finished product as pictured can be accomplished. Help please. Thanks

I liked this recipe I've seen for something I think called "molten lava cake" ??!!?? No clue if thats the name or not, but when you cut into the small cake it oozes out with fudge.
