This recipe calls for adding coffee instead of water to a chocolate cake mix..? In the course of speed-reading the yahoo main page several weeks ago, I ran across a short-cut tip for a cake that I THINK came from the Pennsylvania Dutch community. The author takes a chocolate cake mix and adds brewed coffee instead of the water called for in the recipe. Does anyone know of this recipe, and what icing you would use for this cake? It sounds easy and wonderful, but I can't remember what it was I actually saw! HELP!

Cake like chocolate chip cookies?? I already asked for this kind of recipe once but haven't gotten the recipe I'm looking for. I did make cookies with a cake mix but they were not " cake like". The cookie recipe I am looking for would be very light and fluffy, kind of like mini cupcakes but cookies. They are very soft and use mini choc chips. Any ideas???? I am guessing that they would have to be mixed with a mixer like a cake is and are probably really easy to make, like throw all the ingredients in a bowl and mix. I have a recipe for chocolate cookies that have the texture I am looking for and i thought about just omitting the chocolate but I'm afaid they will be really dry and not form correctly. I would prefer recipes that have been previously tried!! THANKS!!!
Chocolate hazelnut cake recipe? In Philadelphia my mom use to get this awesome cake that was hazelnut and covered with chocolate shavings. I don't know if it shop exists (30 years ago) but the hint of that favorite cake is still teasing my senses. Anyone know the recipe or a similar recipe for me to try? I remember it being very moist and easy to freeze for later eating too. Sorry it ended up here, I did pick the correct catagory, but it went here.. I don't know why.
Need thick chocolate glaze please.? I am making individual chocolate bon-bon cakes. You make a sheet cake, freeze till easy to manage.. cut into serviing pieces, place on wire rack and place one big marshmallow on top of each. Freeze again. Take them out and pour warm (not hot) glaze over the top. It is supposed to be thick enough to be opique, but thin enough to cover the whole thing. Anyone have a recipe for glaze like that?
How would you make red hot marshmallow squirters? (from Max and Ruby)? My 3 1/2 year old son just loves Max and Ruby (the cartoon). I would love to surprise him next month by making an "earthworm cake with red-hot marshmallow squirters." The earthworm cake is easy - a crooked chocolate cake with crushed oreos for dirt, gummy worms for the earth worms coming out of the cake and chocolate icing for mud. I can't seem to find red marshmallows on the internet. I was going to try and dye some red and see what happens...any other suggestions?? Has anyone dyed marshmallows? Any ideas of the best way to do it??
Easy recipe for finger sandwiches??? I need easy, inexpensive recipes for finger sandwiches! We are throwing a bachelorette party for a friend tomorrow night and we are NOT going to a bar/club. We are having a "fun" party when she first gets to the hotel suite, then we are going out to eat at a restaurant and then we are having a lingerie shower when we get back and then just having fun after that. We are having stuffed strawberries, party mix, chocolate kisses, cake for snacks. Since we are going out to eat, these will just be to nibble on while we are having fun. I have looked online for recipes for the finger sandwiches but haven't had much luck. I don't have a lot of time to search the net since I have an almost 15 month old toddler! lol PLEASE any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated! I need these to be easy, inexpensive recipes. THANKS in advance!!! This is for the one who asked about the stuffed strawberries recipe. You get fresh, whole strawberries and cut the tops off (but save and set aside). Then kind of hollow out the middle. You get cream cheese and a box of powdered sugar and mix together with a mixer until smooth. Make sure the cream cheese is ROOM TEMPERATURE before mixing otherwise you will end up with lumpy mixture. Put the mixture into a ziploc bag and cut corner so that you can use it as a type of "funnel" to fill the strawberries. Put the tops back on the strawberry. *You can add a little red food coloring to make the filling pink, if you would like* They are DELICIOUS and always a big hit at a party/wedding.
